Zoom Teeth Whitening
What is Zoom Teeth Whitening?
Consumption of certain foods and beverages such as tea, coffee, colas, and red wine can lead to staining and discoloration of the teeth over time. Medications and ageing can worsen the condition. Zoom teeth whitening is a bleaching procedure for your teeth developed to considerably lighten discoloured teeth and restore your beautiful smile.
Procedure for Zoom Teeth Whitening
Before the procedure, it is advisable to go for a thorough oral check-up. Your dentist will then determine if you can undergo the treatment. On the tooth whitening appointment day, as a first step, your dentist will cover your lips and gums, so that they are adequately protected. Then, tooth whitening gel containing hydrogen peroxide will be carefully applied, on to your teeth. Your teeth would then be exposed to a Zoom lamp for a total of 45 minutes in three intervals of 15-minute duration each. The light from the Zoom lamp breaks down the hydrogen peroxide in the gel releasing oxygen which bleaches away any stains.
Side effects of Zoom Teeth Whitening
The side effects are mild and temporary. You may experience increased sensitivity to cold during treatment, which may last up to either 1 day or a maximum of 3 days following treatment.
After care following Zoom Teeth Whitening
Make it a habit to brush and floss your teeth twice daily to get maximum benefit out of the tooth whitening procedure. For occasional touch ups, your doctor may also provide you with a Day White or Nite-White at-home tooth whitening kit.
