Dr Nikki Sommers completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Science (honours) in 2007 at Adelaide University. She also holds a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. She has worked in private practice for over 17 years and for many of those was the principal dentist.
Dr Nikki Sommers is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, ranging from simple preventative treatments, through to full jaw reconstructions with implants. She has a special interest in restorative dentistry, including freehand bonding, treatment planning and dental rehabilitation. She has worked alongside a team of highly skilled maxillofacial surgeons for over 15 years on full reconstructive cases. Dr Nikki Sommers spent time running a sleep clinic constructing Sleep Apnoea devices for Ear Nose and Throat specialists.
Dr Nikki Sommers provides holistic dentistry for her patients in a relaxed and friendly environment. She tailors treatment plans to each patients needs and priotises preventative approaches over treatment.
Dr Nikki Sommers prides herself on helping the most anxious patients feel comfortable during treatment and creates a fun and relaxed environment when treating children. Dr Nikki Sommers provides the highest standard of care, both functionally and aesthetically.
Dr Nikki Sommers is a member of the Australian Dental Association and has been a member of the Australian Society of Endodontics, Australian society of prosthodontics and Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, she is happily married with two children. Nikki enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, volunteering, camping and fitness.
She is also fluent in English and Greek.
